Poch sacked...

Rodgers currently 4th favourite with the bookies.

Should we be worried?

To Leicester fans he’ll always be the Manager of the Team that came 3rd in a two team race.

No doubt he’ll be mulling over this one either tonight or tomorrow. Probably right now. Wondering if he’s going to get that ‘phone call and whether he should throw away all he’s achieved in his short time at Leicester.

“What should I do if Daniel Levy asks to meet me?”

“This club I’m with, this Leicester team, is going great guns. I’m cosy here and feel no pressure. Do I bin this and throw myself into the unknown and will it all come back to bite me?”

“There won’t be many opportunities like this coming round at a club like Spurs. They don’t get through many managers. They’re bound to offer me a fortune. New stadium, all that potential and who can I tempt to come with me? Can I let it pass me by?”

“Perhaps I’ll just sleep on it. No, I won’t turn the ‘phone off...there now, it’s under the pillow...you never know”.

Night night Brendan...sleep well 😴 💤

Undisturbed I hope.

I said on another thread that considering the way Brendan left Celtic then we’d be naive to think he will stay at Leicester when a big club comes calling. I’ve already prepared myself for Rodgers at Leicester to be a relatively short term gig.

However, I think the Spurs job may have just come up a little too early. I’m guessing he’ll want to see where the potential of this Leicester team will take him. I also think it might not be quite as attractive as some other options that might present themselves in the relatively near future.

I’d be surprised if he jumped now, but I’d also be surprised if he’s still here after 2 to 3 seasons.

I totally agree.
I think we should enjoy Brendan while we have him, as expect him to move on in 2-3 seasons

Well that one was put to bed quickly.

Mourinho and Spurs looks like a match made in hell, but who knows!

A ridiculous sacking given what he achieved working with Levy's constraints on transfers and pay caps together with the new stadium. Also although they are sitting in 14th they are only 3 points off a European spot. Still that's football these days I suppose.

It will be interesting to see if Mourinho can still cut it in the Premier League and whether Levy will loosen the purse strings for him.

This speculation will return with every big job that becomes available - and we want it to - because it will mean that we are continuing to do well.

There are rumours that Levy came and inquired about Rodgers first.

If true, I'd expect a rebuffing from our owners. But maybe he'd been rebuffed by Rodgers too? If Levy did inquire then he didn't spend long wondering.

I suspect Rodgers would have been a much better fit than Moaninho for Spurs. We'll see.
