In the stadium I had no doubt Vardy was onside and we celebrated the goal without worrying. The second one we got to celebrate twice. Maybe it's different listening or watching from home but I've not been to a game this season where the goal celebration has necessarily been affected.

As for the what I perceive to be harsh comments about Perez, he was just about to shoot, Sidibe didn't just shoulder barge him, his thigh also made contact with Perez' shooting leg and knocked him off balance, which is going to happen if you've only got one foot on the ground. Was it a penalty? Maybe because it stopped him from being able to shoot but also maybe not, it's a touch and go call for me but it's harsh to say he was too weak because anyone would go down there. If he had both feet on the ground then I'd say it was weak but he didn't. Just feel like too many people want to get on his back, just like they have with Iheanacho.

The linesman aren't supposed to be flagging, they're meant to keep their flag down and allow play to continue for VAR to sort out. He should get a good shoeing for that.

You’re getting confused with the champions league. It’s not the same in the PL where the linesman are told to raise their flag if they think it’s offside. Been happening all season. There was a similar incident in the United v Arsenal game. Different in the CL and World Cup

Oh right, I stand corrected then.

It’s the annoying way the PL has to be different to everyone else mate!

Arro - on Perez, I’m happy to give him time to find his role in the team. I’m not willing to give him time costing the team with his diving around.

No ref has been fooled yet, neither have I. It needs to stop. Too much breaks are caused by him going down to try and buy a free kick and not getting back in whilst the other team attacks.

I can forgive the rest. Not that.

Ps. I’ve always rated Nacho, but accepted his confidence was shredded last season.

Mark Clattenburge said its a directive so who to believe eitherway BS all of us who where there thought it was tight and if you look at it closely he was off side and then came back to get onside so although i know you want a row about it, my opinion it wasn't so obvious for the early flag and guess what the ref agreed as he did not blow up,as every footballer knows you play to the whistle don't you and none of the Toffees stopped.

I guess we have a different opinion on diving around, I don't see him diving around. That challenge from Sidibe clearly took him out, he didn't dive. The argument for whether it was a penalty or not is a different matter but there was contact and he only had one foot on the ground because the other was in motion to shoot. If you were on one leg and I came steaming past you and barged into you then you'd fall over too.

I think the problem is that he can get surrounded and caught in possession sometimes. Some try to release the ball quickly and play one-touch (Ricardo), some have such great technique that they can dig themselves out of it (Mahrez or Maddison) and others try not to get in that situation in the first place by sacrificing involvement in the game for finding the space (Barnes). Perez needs to find a way that works for him in this style, and there has at least been improvement on that front. Everton's defence was so tight and packed on Sunday that it made life especially difficult for him, but it also made life difficult for all our forward players.

For clarity, I wasn’t talking about the Sidibe challenge. That took him out.

I more mean that he goes to ground too easily looking for free kicks. The fact that they are never given means he’s not fouled and should stay on his feet, or get up quickly and get back in to defend rather than sulking on the floor.

He has to cut that out of his game.
