Relentless.
United won their 8th match in a row on Saturday against tricky opponents and as results went our way, we've now opened up a 13 point gap with those below us.
Surely even we can't blow this now?
Both second and third lost at the weekend and it really couldn't have been a better weekend for us. I think realistically we need 9 wins from our remaining 19 games. That'll bring us up to 69 and certainly in the last three seasons that has been enough. And with all the teams below us looking incapable of going on a winning run and cutting each others throats then I can't see anyone else matching that total.
Didn't make it to Gayfield but it was as you would expect by all accounts - a stuffy, difficult game against opponents who are not only well organised but pose a threat. Arbroath have really been a credit to themselves and a good addition to this league and they very much deserve all the plaudits coming their way. I hope they keep picking up points in the second half of the campaign and keep a good gap from the relegation zone.
I've not really spoken to anyone about the game so not much more to add than the various match reports. Stanton got the winner early on and it was enough to see it out.
Next up for us is a home double header against Ayr on Saturday then the derby on the 27th. Dare I say that six points, and ten wins in a row, will see us booking a venue for a title party? It's really hard not to get carried away and we'll see what the next few weeks bring.

The wind was horrendous Ivan and ruined the 2nd half completely, Arbroath desereved at least a draw, but that is how to win leagues.

Were you there?
We were very lucky to win against Arbroath earlier in the season with two late goals. I think they're a good team to be honest and obviously the wind at Gayfield is always a factor
I remember playing my first game for one of the boys clubs I played for. Under 13s, on the pitches at the front at Arbroath. Keeper could barely kick the ball out of the 18 yard box

I notice you are struggling to score goals Ivan. No such problem for the Dees, smashing 4 past a very good Dunfermline side. Derby coming up soon. Can't see anything other than a handsome victory for us.

I enjoyed the way Dundee showed real competitive spirit and a commitment to entertain their fans by really making a game of it and letting 10 man Dunfermline score two late goals and threaten an equaliser. It's why Dundee are the great mid-table entertainers of the league.
I assume you have a ticket for Tannadice?

We sold out our tickets a couple of weeks ago to make sure the Dundee tickets are limited. Hopefully that helps.
