So it's Arteta then?

Have you guys seen the photos on dailymail?

Apparently our MD and contract negotiator bloke were spotted coming out of Arteta's house in Manchester @ 1:20am

Sure they had not gone for Christmas do !!

I think we will regress further, Arteta is not the answer in my opnion.

What do you guys think?

from a rival point of view, I'd be happy for Arteta to take over (on face value) which is not a good thing for Arsenal

Your board come across as such penny pinchers

it just screams that Arteta is the cheapest yes man they can find if this goes through

How do you know Arteta will be no good?

I've heard good things about Arteta. I saw an interview with Poch and he rated him very highly in their time at PSG together. Think it was a question about who is the player he worked with who he could see as most being a good manager. Something like that.

I wouldn't mind him tbh young and has lrarbed alot from the best out there so hes worth a punt.

Steve McLaren spent a few seasons with Fergie, didn’t make him Fergie. Doesn’t matter who you learn from their is a hell of a difference between manager and assistant manager, the guy has zero experience as a manager. This is a huge risk. Il obviously back him but with the likes of ancelotti out there, I feel we need a guy that can steady the ship first.

I know what you mean but I think he'll do ok.

would it be Arteta/Alonso duo or one or the other? i know theyre best mates since childhood etc. They'd bring a lot to the table i think despite being relatively inexperienced in the role.

Whoever the manager is they're going to have to oversee a clear out if they want to really improve Arsenal. Not going to do that just through coaching ability.

It’s a gamble but you need to gamble now. Wenger and Emery both experienced and successful haven’t been able to provide any forward thrust for the club so why not gamble on the next big thing.

Its rotten to the core, they put enough money in as owners, only 3 teams in the EPL have spent more net over the last 5 or so years and one of thems Everton.

The attitude of the players stinks.

Wenger shielded them for decades, allowed them to fack about on twitter etc from the youth up and took all the blame for their downfalls.

Need someone like Rafa who wont stand for it, go in there and change their entire mentality from the bottom up. Theyll probably hire another pushover yes man like Emery though who will get let down by the players and accept it.

Although it’s a gamble, I believe Arteta is the right choice if we want to develop our game he will understand exactly what is required and has personality to inspire this players and he will know what players to buy and hopefully organise the current players and he’s also a former player and understands the club could be the best manager at this time and maybe long term I will support this appointment and he will be the cutest manager ever.

Wasn't Artea overlooked when Emery was first appointed because he was demanding a large transfer budget?

Can't see how he'd be demanding anything but more now.

Not sure a untried and inexperienced manager is what we need , much rather we tried to get a proven PL manager like Rafa Benitez
