Watford v Wolves Preview

Date: Wednesday 1st January
Venue: Vicarage Road
Kick off time: 15.00

On Wednesday Wolves travel south to take on Watford.

For the hosts it will be their second home game in a week having defeated Aston Villa 3-0 on Saturday. Watford are currently in 19th place in the table with 16 points having conceded 33 goals whilst scoring a league lowest of 15.

Wolves, after defeating Manchester City in a thrilling contest at Molineux on Friday evening, go into this game after being narrowly defeated by Liverpool just 43 hours later with the usual controversial VAR decisions being a major feature of the game.

In the reverse fixture in September Wolves came out with a comfortable 2-0 win thanks to a goal from Matt Doherty and an own goal by Daryl Janmaat. Since then manager Quique Sanchez Flores has been replaced by Nigel Pearson who has made his presence felt with his side attaining 8 points from their last 5 games.

Once again Wolves are the team that suffer from less recovery time than their opponent and it doesn’t get any easier for them as they have just 2 days to recover from this game before their home clash with Manchester United in the FA Cup.

The game will be shown live on BT Sports

Gem’s prediction: 1-2

Liverpool evidently holding an investigation into an incident involving Jonny and one of their ball boys

Trying to take the attention away from the VAR stuff. Can't have the news being about how Wolves were victims of injustice at Anfield.

I find that hard to believe as it was noticeable that whenever the ball went out in Liverpool's favour the ball boys were quick to retrieve the ball.
When it went out in Wolves' favour the ball boys sat still and let the Wolves player retrieve it himself.
Pathetic, petty stuff which is all part of the Anfield ethos.

I think most teams do that these days to be fair. However, if you do it; I don't think you can get angry or charge a player who tries to get the ball off a ball boy who is time wasting. Unless they use unreasonable force of course.

Just pulling it out of their hands isn't unreasonable force though.

Don’t know if anyone else on here might be able to help me out. The problem is new broadband/router and cannot log in to JA606 on my computer. Can log in to literally every other site I use and can also log in on my phone using 3G (like now).

Admin1 is aware and trying to help but with no success so far.

That's true, but they should not hold investigations unless he rips his head off.
Karma.

in the end there's nothing you can do about refs and var decisions. what you have to do to beat the top teams is take your chances - we had 4 good chances in the last 15 mins and took none.

Ridiculous comment. Its happens in football, making out like its just Anfield is silly.

Early January deals include Elliott Watt going to Carlisle on loan for the rest of the season. Dadashov who Wolves signed in the summer then immediately loaned to Portugal is having his loan ended early. And Cutrone to Fiorentina quickly on loan initially. Clubs negotiating on whether they have an option to buy in the summer or whether a permanent deal then will be mandatory

Have you tried switching off and back on again ?

Seriously, it may be parental controls are blocking the site, I had this issue with a previous mobile network supplier !

Can you get onto Purnhub ? If so I suggest you spend time there instead of here

Just seen a video of the incident between Jonny and the ball boy. Jonny went to take the ball from the lad who pulled the ball away so Jonny couldn’t reach it. Jonny immediately backed away and the ball boy threw the ball to Vinagre to take the throw. What little incident that happened was caused entirely by the ball boy
