Well we were beaten both times by Rangers so where do we stand compared to this time last year
2018/19
1 - Celtic
Pld - 20 GD - 32 Pnts - 42
2 - Rangers
Pld - 21 GD - 27 Pnts - 42
2019/20
1 - Celtic
Pld - 20 GD - 42 Pnts - 52
2 - Rangers
Pld - 19 GD - 42 Pnts - 50
So as it stands we have both improved. We have improved points wise, 10 points better off compared to 8 for Rangers but they have improved as far as GD is concerned.
Last season it finished,
1 - Celtic
Pld - 38 GD - 57 Pnts - 87
2 - Rangers
Pld - 38 GD - 55 Pnts - 78
Not ideal for Rangers as theyve shown they can beat us and almost match us at the halfway stage only to fall behind when it matters.
The Christmas Old Firm game has no telling at all as it appears as we havent actually won one since 2016

Honestly...my opinion...Celtic have 'better' individual players in most positions (with higher transfer values) but right now Rangers have a more effective team.
Balance could easily change on both measures this month.

So a Celtic side who have been totally outplayed twice on the bounce now has some of their supporters saying they would have not one of the Rangers team in their side.
Well - there is sticking by your side and then there is just sheer idiocy.
