Pablo and Shackleton back

From Sheff Weds pre match presser it sounds like Pablo and Shackleton are ready for the match day squad and this is really good news.

Pablo gives us something extra and I think also Shackleton does, he's a really dynamic, forward playing and accurate passing player and that takes a load of Ayling's shoulders, I think can ultimately be more effective in that role than Alioski and Harrison, so great to have him back.

I never said put him on the wing but whenever he’s going forward it’s always effective and his cut backs seem to reach a man more often than Alioskis do.

Great news. Hope both (especially Pablo) can stay fit now for the run in.

Is Shackleton bigged up cos he's homegrown, I think so.

Shackleton is great. Sadly he's not had a run of games due to his injury problems to really show how good he is. But similar to Cook in terms of how natural he looks on the ball and has that agility and acceleration to take it past players easily. If he had kept fit, he'd be an automatic pick right now.

Hopefully we can manage Pablo's on pitch time so that we can get his usual brilliant contribution but maybe without more injuries.age catches up with us all so maybe that's part of it.

I felt last year and in the Monk season Pablo tailed off in last part of season maybe through workload catching up on him.if we can get him firing in last 10 games or so it could be decisive.

Would you start with Pablo or use him as an impact substitute? For me it's the former.

Stevie... has to be a sub for me.. after 4 games out I wouldn’t want to put him in from the start

I'm saying for the remainder of the season. Agreed, wouldn't start him today.

Phillips, Klich and Shackleton is our best midfield 3.

Fantastic that Hernandez is back too.

Ah sorry Stevie, misread that mate 👍

Has to be a starter, however I did read the other day from another poster that he seems to fade off second half of season.. due to work load? and try to keep him fresh for the last ten games.. just made me think about how I’d play Pablo so very valid post
