Nev's Monday moan

Well that wasn't brilliant was it to say i have got my Leicester back is an understatement.
All those years of going to teams like Burnley who mess with your head and do a LCFC on you.
But hey ho i think in the scheme of things its manageable. Do you agree that the money in the Prem has changed the league for the better teams are much more competitive and can beat each other on a given day well except the Liverpool machine.

I think we are having the Puel effect and the changes that he tried as NP has if we don't play out from the back with pace we get nailed.

Without Wilf in front of them we struggle to play out from the back and players like Maddy are taking to many touches.

Maddy is maddening the way he goes down at the slightest touch and then stays down like a spoilt child.

I hope we get back on track and i havn't given up yet

You mention the money in the Prem, but this has to be one of the quietest transfer windows in memory. Even the rumour mill is quiet. You'd think with the race for the top 4 and the relegation battle being tight that there would be money being splashed all over the place. But even Man Utd look unwilling to part with £80m these days.

As for Maddison, there were several query dives a couple of definite ones in there yesterday and he has to be careful he doesn't get himself a reputation.

Our best chance of making the top 4 now is the teams below us ‘out rubbish’ us. It worked as a strategy for Spurs last year.

I agree with what you’ve said Nev. Maddison and Perez need to stop going down and start trying to affect the game more.

Burnley were beatable, and we should have beat them with the chances and play that we had. But we lack that killer instinct and final pass at the minute. Vardy is starting to look isolated again which means our midfield is not working offensively.

For me I’d change formation until Ndidi is back. Nacho deserves his chance to partner Vardy and a back 5 means Tielemans and Maddison can do what they do more centrally. We instantly looked better like that against Burnley and but for a defensive mistake that cost us a goal, we were making all the play.

A very frustrating weekend. I just really hope we can find some form against West Ham and not enter the doom loop BS and I fear could be possible.

Let’s hope it’s a blip. Work for Rodgers to do now for sure.
