What does success look like?

For the fans, the only criteria for success is promotion, but is this the case for Radrizanni? He stated at the outset that he wanted to improve the value of our product and our brand. He brought in Bielsa and engaged with the local community. Our training facilities have improved and there is a clear progression structure for players at every level. Elland Road is full for every home game and Sky TV cant get enough of LUFC. We are the biggest name in football outside the Premier League.
He invested a lot of his own money to buy the club and restore normal business processes after the chaos of the previous decade. He formed alliances with bigger investors and he integrated LUFC into his media business with, I am sure, benefits to that enterprise. It looks like he is now getting ready to collect on his investment by selling out to one of those investors, the Qataris.
We sell players but we do not re-invest in replacements or improvements. Rather, we lease them from other clubs, with or without an intention to buy. The deals we are trying to set up at the moment are based on this principle of buy now, pay later. It's no different than a business which leases vehicles rather than owning them. The only problem is that we end up with no assets.
Overall, Radrizanni looks good when our goals as fans coincide with his goals as a businessman. But he is, first and foremost, a businessman with little emotional investment in the club.
So how much of a priority is promotion for Radrizanni? I think he wants it, in the sense that it furthers his goals, but it is not the highest priority for him. It is more important that Leeds United, as a brand and a product, looks good to future investors, and can be used to further their commercial goals. It is most important that he can sell out at a 100%+ profit on his investment, probably to support his media enterprise.
I am resigned to a disappointing transfer window. This does not mean we won't get promoted, but I sense that the excitement generated by being involved in the fray will keep our profile flying high, even if our performance ultimately falters. And that is enough to keep Radrizanni happy.

So how much money has Radz put into LUFC, LIW? This is what he said in the YEP in October:
"... I invested over £90 million — with this level of money you could own a Europa League club in most of the European leagues, including Italy.

“The club makes losses, in this league it is impossible not to. We are still paying the consequences of my first year because I was inexperienced and we made some expensive mistakes with players.

“But we haven’t stopped investing. Bielsa and his staff cost £6 million [a year], we bought many other players and I think we have a squad to be promoted. It’s financially not sustainable to keep this level of salary which is now over £30 million, probably £33 million with Marcelo and closer to £40 million with the coaches.”
The way he sees it, he has put a huge amunt of money into LUFC, money that would have bought him a Europa League team elsewhere. So why would he put all that money into a mid-Championship club? My argument is that he believes he can sell it at a profit, and milk a fair amount out of it by financial re-structuring. Promotion is a goal, but as I said earlier, I do not think it is his highest priority.

He’s put that money because if we went up club be worth £250m

All because of prem tv money

He couldn’t double his money like you can in England.

Why do you think everyone wants to invest in England and not the rest of the world.

He’s desperate for promotion, just hasn’t the money

And listen to what he actually says

He can’t sustain the losses in the champ.

Think about that

Poor article

Because what ever you say.

Promotion at least doubles the value of the club
