I know this might sound stupid but I'd honestly rather we didn't sign anyone, accepted this season is a write off, and regroup in the summer with a proper plan and sensible targets that improve us...
... than spend £50m on a bang average striker who's 28 and is only going to be a short term option until Kane is fit again.
It just sounds like a desperately short term panic buy for a player who let's be honest none of us rated!
