he got injured at the worst time unfortunatly

It would be interesting to see how Stewart would do up front but as super says he's injured just now.

Happy to have Defoe for another season.

Get that mate but its a hell of an outlay I suspect for a back up however good....look he will do the very decent job he is doing and Rangers is the best he will play for at this time in his career so probably win- win for both parties but at a hefty price is all I am saying 👍

The only real outlay is his wages. No transfer fee and he’s already been here for a while and is doing great. Whereas Shankland would probably cost as much if not more when the fee is paid but is untried at the top level. It’s a no brainier

His stats at Rangers are pretty impressive for a man his age , getting a guy like Defoe to reduce his wage demands so we can afford him is a great bit of business , Stevie G could hardly get the grin off his face when he spoke about it at his presser , he will end up on the coaching staff me thinks
