Was ascending the high corries in Glencoe at first light this morning.
Good start a bright sunny dawn tho I knew the weather would close in.
By 11 sleet showers were turning to blizzard whiteout & snowpoles
needed. Being the biggest shytebag in the Scottish hills turned back
aiming for pint & logfire in the Clachaig. Met 3 young fellas as I
descended and warned them. They were cheery and said they'd come a
long way and wanted to go on. Did my best but they were adamant.
Asked them their vehicle details and if they'd put a route card on the
dashboard. Naw. Got down and scribbled some details and put it under
their windscreen wipers. Told them the mountan had been there 450m
years & wasn't going anywhere. To no avail.
Will watch the Scottish news with some trepidation not for the 1st time

Re you thinking about going to Eilean Siar.
Might not be the best guy for accommodation advice.
I tend to miss out the middle ground.
I'm either entirely cost free or mental opulent splashout.
Other general stuff anything I can offer advice.
