Are we missing a trick?

Erling Braut Haaland: born in Leeds.

Gio Reyna: born in Sunderland.

These are just two examples of sons of ex players born in the UK but are representing other countries at youth/full international level, the country each of their fathers represented.

Why isn't the FA keeping track of foreign internationals who played in the Prem but who had families whilst in England? Their children would be eligible to play for the Three Lions. Instead we've got some of the most promising young players in Europe (both playing for Dortmund) choosing to opt for Norway and USA. No disrespect to Norway and the USA, but I think if England came knocking, at least some of these promising young players would choose to play for England.

Opinions, etc.?

I was born in a British Millitary Hospital in Germany when my Dad was in the Army!..

My Dad was Irish, Mother is English, being brought up in England from a very young age, I spent a lot of my life believing I was English!..

Came back to Germany with the British Army and married a German lass, having a German family and getting out of the Army and staying here I had to have a Pass!..

Bit of a shock when I was told I wasn't British, but now I'm a proud owner of an Irish Pass!..

Good enough to stand on the streets of Belfast in a British Uniform but not good enough to hold a British Pass, and the people you're asking about ain't British so there must be a reason somewhere why they won't get a British Pass!..

Mind, there was an African lass that ran barefooted that got a British Pass because Britain wanted her for the Olypic team, strange how some get what they want when they're needed for sport!..

Cal, Haaland has already stated he wants to win the Premierlegue with Leeds United, so, you never know, if we make it back and if he's a Man of his word anything could happen!.

Cal, you'll be surprissed at how many Irish(and other Nationals!)were in the British Forces and because they were born in British Millitary Hospitals they don't qualify for a British Passport!..

Its something to do with your Dad Registering you with the British Consulate at birth, which with my Dad being Irish he refused to do!..

Cal, I said back there I'm a proud owner of an Irish Pass!..

When you're born outside a Country under a Flag,(my case a BMH in Germany!)you have to be registerd with that Flags Consulate, which in my case was the British Embassy!..

Like I said, my Dad being Irish he refused to do it, so I have my Dads Nationality!..
