During the January transfer window both clubs sent players out on loan and sold one or two whilst bringing in only one senior player. For Wolves it was Portuguese winger Daniel Podence for whom they paid Olympiacos around £17 million.
Leicester spent nothing and brought in only one player on loan with an option to buy. Ironically, defender Ryan Bennett arrived from Wolves and will be ineligible to play in this game.

Currently 3rd in the table Leicester had some mixed results last month. League wins over Newcastle and West Ham and narrow wins over Wigan and Brentford in the FA Cup were overshadowed by league losses to Southampton and Burnley and getting knocked out of the League Cup by Aston Villa.

8th placed Wolves had nothing to brag about in January either, their only league success being a 3-2 win over Southampton after being 2-0 down. A loss to Watford was followed by a draw against Newcastle. After 180 minutes of play Manchester United managed to knock Wolves out of the FA cup by a single goal and the month was rounded off by a 2-1 defeat by Liverpool.

The reverse fixture which was the opening game of the season ended in a 0-0 draw and with the 2 sides well rested and with plenty of talent on show, this is likely to be another closely fought match which may come down to which manager out thinks the other. On the other hand it may come down to Traore v Chilwell or Podence v Chilwell, either way the Foxes defender will have his hands full.
With the home advantage I’m going for a narrow Wolves win.

The game will be shown live on BT Sports

Gem’s prediction: 2-1

About 20 tickets left in the home areas for the Leicester game, 100 for Espanyol and none for the Norwich game. So all those will sell out. And we have also sold out for the away game at Espanyol who have turned down requests for us to have a bigger allocation

Wolves U23s beat Leamington 2-0 in the Birmingham Senior Cup today. Good to see some of our new signings get a game in a team that included Nya, Lonwijk, Otasowie, Mayounga, Perry, Loiodice, Dongda, Hong Wan.

Dongda and Nya got the goals

I think in an ideal world that to keep your best players is paramount... We lost Kante after winning the league! Granted he was going to sign for Chelsea and we were going to loan him for a season anyway. He also won back to back league Trophies!

Chelsea paid us more for Drinkwater than Kante...... He is on loan to?

If the Wife wants to leave then let the B go..... Otherwise you just pi$$ off the rest of the FAM!
Do you really think Man U wanted to sell Ronaldo or Spurs Bale?

The only name that sticks is the one on the front of the shirt and not the one on the back!

Two of Wolves former back up keepers look to have reached a crossroads in their careers. Will Norris was doing well at Ipswich on loan and became their first choice but errors in recent games has seen him lose his place and difficult to see his contract being extended beyond the summer. And Jack Ruddy failed to establish himself at Ross County partly because of injury and he is now without a club

On the positive side u23 keeper Sondegaard is highly rated

Elliott Watt has quickly established himself into Carlisle’s midfield on his loan there. Reports after recent games say he is looking far too good for that level of football
