So, Jorgi earned himself a self-imposed...

break, after FA Cup on Tuesday (match in which he'll start, one of two possible starts for him in March).

Picked up 10th means missing for the next 2 league matches (Everton & Villa). On top of CL suspension.
Back in action against City at home, on the 21st.

Presume FA Cup lineup will be something like this:

Kepa
RJ Zouma FT/AR Emerson
Gilmour Jorginho (c) Barkley
Pedro Bats Willian

Bench: Cab, Azpi, Alonso, Kova or Anjorin, Pedro, Giroud, Rudi or Tomori.
(I'd prefer Tino Anjorin to be in starting lineup, over one of them).

Fingers crossed Loftus & Callum plays a part in league match next week.
The sooner all key players are back to (optimum) fitness, the better

No return date for Tammy and Pulisic.
Kante projected to be back for Bayern away or City home.

Reached the point where I'd force Kante to avoid the whole of March, can't afford damaging recurrent injuries to him (even if it is at the expense of solidity in midfield).

Not willing to risk premature comeback playing through pain barrier, at a sub-optimal half-fit level any longer.
Health comes first.

Mounting muscle injuries are alarming.

From that perspective, can certainly understand why Frank is being cautious with throwing Loftus straight into the lineup.
Particularly with his injury history/record taken into account.

Interesting to see how that Gilmour kid gets on for you, he looks like he could become a top player in what I’ve seen of him.

One of many.
Plethora of potentially top talents coming through the conveyor belt...

Gilmour is excellent at using his prodigious talent to consistently break the lines, with incisive passes (models his game on Fabregas).
In short supply of that type of quality at the moment.
