Finally...?

Has the Bruno signing finally shown that Ole has SOME idea where he wants to lead the club, and the sort of football we want to be playing under him?

Has he finally got the player he wanted in midfield to be the attacking presence and leader? Our squad looks much more balanced. Add Rashford in, Pogba back(hopefully), a RW and another ST and CB it doesn't look TOO bad right?

Slowly but surely...?

Do you not agree Arsenal have been bad this season, 52?

Indeed I do Mason, which is why I said they were below us.
I've given what I think is Ole's progress above, and why I think he could not have done much better.
Tbaggerin was on the wum saying he would be glad for Ole to stay as manager implying he's no good.
I was pointing out they have problems of their own.
I do wish Stretty would clear off again, all he ever says is we are chit.

Yet they are still close to us, which puts our season into perspective. He’s not on the wum, it’s a commonly held opinion by many rival, and United, fans and for good reason. Man United continuing to struggle, under a manager not up to the job, is just what our rivals want.

Oh he was definitely wumming to post it on this thread Mason.
Luckily I believe our rivals will be disappointed in their hopes.
I've given my reasons above, you may disagree with some or all of it, but it's what I think and hope will happen.
Do you not see any improvement Mason, no sign things are getting better?

Yeah you’ve got blind hope. I do agree rival fans will be disappointed, but more because he’ll be sacked, not that he’ll be successful.

Not really, we’re no better than we were last season - worse in fact - and that’s after outspending everyone in the country. There are some things I’ve liked under Ole but nothing to suggest he’s good enough to manage the club, and the football is still dull to watch, by and large, which is my biggest issue. It’s all very Moyesque.

Maybe, but I’m not sure Ole’s capable of taking the team to where he wants it to be. Yet again we’ve failed to take advantage of Chelsea’s shiiiiitness.

We've steadily narrowed that gap. The second half was disappointing yesterday - I thought our players looked leggy. But in the first half I was encouraged by how we carved Everton open time and again.

This

We looked tired in the second half and Ole should have made changes earlier.

Wasn't wumming - I think Ole seems like he can pick out a decent player but I don't think he can tactically take you much above where you are now. Even in a poor league now you're only 5th.

We're very much in a similar boat, although I think Arteta has a higher ceiling and we have less resources.

The longer Utd & Chelsea remain at the level they're at now, the more of an opportunity we have to try and build and move above both, which then would hopefully lead to CL & increased revenue, which we could then use to cement ourselves above you.

I'm not saying it would happen, I'm just saying there's more chance of it happening if you have Ole in charge as opposed to someone like Poch.

Of course it's wumming when you post on a rivals board and say I hope you keep your manager as he's rubbish so gives us a chance to overtake you.
Of course you said it more politely, and a sensible post just above. Still that's what it amounted to.
Out of int why do you think Arteta has a higher ceiling, because I don't.

Why is it wumming? That's my genuine opinion. Do you really think you're better off with Ole than someone like Poch or Nagelsmann?

Because Ole has more managerial experience and he's shown his level, which isn't very good. Jury is still out on Arteta, he could be worse than Ole, he could be better, but early signs are good.
