Tim Martin of Wetherspoons has been all over the media today encouraging people to keep drinking in pubs, which should stay open, because his understanding of epidemiology is better than epidemiologists'. I'm sure the additional deaths he's causing have nothing to do with the commercial interests his stance benefits.

Do many people think twice about where they send their business off the back of stuff like this? Don't get me wrong, if I was on a night out with all the lads I wouldn't refuse to set foot in there, but in other circumstances I'd defo rather choose to spend my money elsewhere after hearing something like this.
