Moral vacuum

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52120578

Further to post yesterday about Spurs, this is gathering wider attention with Government figures now commenting.

Great that Leeds come out of this with some credit, hope that there is some financial reset at the top of they game which addresses salaries but also the influence of tv in sport which has helped create this grotesque monster of inflated salaries, hyped up matches and over saturation coverage.

A Cap should be placed on all divisions as far as football goes, a fixed price for each division!..

People are out there dying and Premier league clubs ain't helping, especially when some of those not gaining because of their actions will have sick friends or relatives and at this time have enough stress placed upon them!..

A lot of these over paid mongrels don't come from the Country they're employed to work, so, they'll be thinking why should we give up what this profession has gladly given me!..

Shame on any that say no, a bigger shame on the Government for letting these ridiculous payments get way out of hand!..

This reminds me of when the banks started going under. Fat cats retained bonuses, ran away with fat pensions etc …. while the average worker in the branches paid the price through redundancy.

But this absolutely stinks, it really does. Neither does it say a lot for the PFA, so far. Let's hope someone sees sense and does the right thing. i'm not holding my breath mind.

That pr111ck Grealish should forfeit a few months wages and use that to retain staff just for being who he is.

My wife is a vet. They are obliged to work at this time, indeed, they are not allowed to turn away any animal brought in for treatment.

She is now working 12 hour shifts, face to face with public, seeing animal after animal that needs expensive emergency treatment that the owners can't afford as they've just been laid off. She had one lady, she's only about 21, who has dog with cancer, she can't afford to get it treated and has to move some miles away now to stay with her boyfriend. She has just been diagnosed with cancer herself and was due to start chemo but that has been put on hold now. She was in tears saying good bye to my wife not knowing if she's see here again. My wife has the and other stories, every 15 minutes for hours every day.

Her practice is losing money hand over fist, is trying to work our how to furlough people off and survive, they've been going over 100 years.

Then you hear about the footballers and it quite frankly makes you sick.

Little surprise that Newcastle are even worse!

Leeds fans can be proud of how our senior management, players and coaches quickly announced they would sacrifice so rank and file employees could continue to be paid.
