Uefa position on leagues

I wonder what sources he's talking about. He has quoted Wilder in his own article "I’m sure that we will adjust accordingly. I think for the integrity of the competition and competitions, especially the top end of English football and European football, they’ll want to finish the season."

Yeah, numerous (unnamed) sources when every article in the media is full of everyone supporting season completion, from managers to UEFA to FIFA to PFA etc.

Simon Stone is a Manc that has a photo of Fergie on his twitter profile. Of course numerous (unnamed) sources have said that to him.

No one can really commit to a stance, but the feeling seems to be that sport will be able to get going in June. Many teams are looking at early May to get back to training.
However, if there are further delays then there will be little choice but to re-evaluate what should happen.

UEFA plan to finish all seasons by end of August. If that's not possible they will call it.

They have already been clear about their position. They want leagues finished when safe to do so and any league finishing early may not have places available in European competition, although I don't see that being likely.

1st qualifiers are start of July, so that`s no use, unless they are going to re-structure the competitions. As usual, they are probably only thinking about the 5 rich leagues

I understand that, I am just saying that a general decision to be finished by the end of August is probably not workable. Time will tell, I suppose.

If some leagues are able to resume next month then that will make up some minds. It will be possible.

Also, if UEFA rule that the leagues should be called as is I don't see any sign that we will revert to last season's results. Their plan will also sort out who plays in the CL and Europa league.
