Jeez, calm down. I only said some of the link up play reminded me of Firmino. We're not all a hundred years old. I only remember Hoddle at Chelsea and very little at Swindon. He looks real quality on that video.

Bale,VDV, Dempsey, Crouch,Defoe,Berbatov ,Carrick,David's to name a few.

Admittedly some of them wanted to go but we should have stood out ground.

Just pointing out there is no comparison.

And I was just saying that I wasn't comparing. I couldnt even if I wanted to as I never saw Hoddle in his prime.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Sol Campbell

Fabregas. Great player. Several classes about Ozil who Wenger inexplicably chose instead of him when Cesc left Barca.

As for Hoddle terrifically balanced player who was more suited to a slower paced game like Serie A. Similar to Le Tissier in talent although i preferred Le Tiss who was more consistent and scored far more goals. Both criminally overlooked by various England managers.

I remember being embarassed when Gooners used to sing that song about Rix being better than Hoddle when he clearly wasn't
