Willian to Liverpool on a free

Coming out in the media over the last few hours. Odds from 25/1 down to 5/1 with talks supposedly ongoing.

Thoughts?

Werner, Willian, left back, goalkeeper and we are done for for next season whenever that is.

Apparently we're not interested in a move for a Werner before June when his release clause is up. I wonder if we're thinking he'll actually be available for less after that.

Haha a good way of putting it!

His numbers are decent really, certainly this season, and were he to play in part of our midfield three, which is where I see him btw, then he would have a role to fill and the tools to do it.

As said he looks a Lallana/Shaq replacement to me but if needed wide then he can do that too.

He’s just very streaky. Scores in patches. From 26/10/19 to us playing yourselves on 03/03/20 he scored two goals in one game against spurs out of 21 games.

That is very wise as transfer fees are likely to drop. Only risk is if another club just pay the release clause which could leave us in limbo.

Yeah Chelsea are interested apparently.

Although he does want to come to us by the sound of it.

We can't be sanctioning £50m transfers in the current environment. We'll get slaughtered.

I think that's why and Werner will have to understand or go somewhere else.

If Mbappe is going to be available for £40m then maybe we can pick Werner up for £10m

All you have to do is wait for city to buy 3 players and then it'll be a free for all.

In the present climate i would agree that the first club to buy someone for a big fee will be slaughtered.

The 5th won't.

Yeah that's true.

Echo have rubbished thiscreport now amyway but I agree with them that it's probably an indicator of a position we're looking at.

Ed Woodward is rubbing his hands, ready to accept the challenge.
