They're actually using crowd noise sound effects at the Mainz v Leipzig match I'm currently watching.
And I must say it's made a huge difference in the viewing experience. It doesn't have the feel of a pre season friendly. It feels too real , like there are actually fans in the ground.
I love it. Hopefully we see something similar when the PL returns. I'll be damned if I have to watch Bournemouth v Huddersfield with no fans noise!

It's hard to know how it affects the players. The few Bundesliga games I've watched have certainly had enough intensity to allow me, as a fan, to occasionally forget the strange circumstances.
I'd be interested to see the stats on sprints, ground covered etc, to see if there is any tangible evidence of the lack of a crowd affecting the players.

I think crowds can aid in things like heroic comebacks.
Say ur 2-0 down at home and pull Too 1-2, the crowd can really give u that extra energy 2 keep going n equalize etc.

Presumably you're saying that because it actually happened in today's Cologne v Dusseldorf game?
