3 games played today,3 major penalty

decisions made by the refs and all wrong.

We have VAR I hear you say,so surely they will be overturned.

They weren't all the decisions were upheld.

Tonight those in charge of VAR (the fooking refs) have come out and confirmed all 3 VAR decisions were in fact incorrect.

How can this fooking happen I hear you say.Well it is because refs are judging their mates that's what it is.

If they can't manage VAR themselves then get ex players to judge or sack the idea all together.

The premier league with these clowns in charge of VAR will become a laughing stock around the world.

What these idiot VAR refs also fail to realise when taking 3 or 4 mins to come to a decision is the sheer length of time taken means the incident reviewed is not clear and obvious!

The whole forensic approach makes a mockery of the system and makes the VAR refs figures of abuse. Can't see why the VAR function can't be outsourced, why can't we have refs from other top leagues on review?

Why aren't monitors on the sidelines being used more? The whole thing stinks of ref's association interference. UEFA and FIFA need to set out clear guidelines on:

- max time that can be taken to review
-on field ref has final say, should be encouraged to use sideline monitors more
-bring in bans on VAR refs who arrive at incorrect decision

Again I think just making the correct decisions could solve this

I would recommend all officials go to Specsavers

That's if they're open

Scottish referees are sponsored by Specsavers. It's good marketing

This whole 'right decision, wrong decision' debate could be resolved overnight if they just changed the rules of the game so that every touch of the ball was judged to be breaking a rule until proven otherwise.

A simple, short, cross-field pass could be breaking a rule but the ref hasn't spotted it. Better to stop play and make sure there was no infringement. And don't get me started on the return pass. One-two? Slow down guys let's check one pass at a time!

I didn't see the other 2 games but

the clear trip on Pogba late in the game was a pen and that wasn't even reviewed. I never thought a system designed for accuracy would also balance itself out in a game....

Honestly feels like they just need to clear out the old guard and get some new blood in.

I understand it's hard to see some things in real time, but with the addition of VAR it's just becoming embarrassing for English football.

Fernandes' was closer to being a red card for him than it was a penalty for Utd ffs. The Southampton one was a mess, then there's the inconsistency between the Nketiah/Vardy/Tarkowski incidents.

How embarrassing is it for the PL to have to come out after games and say they made mistakes? Mistakes that could be hugely costly for the clubs involved. I'm not a conspiracy theorist or anything like that, but it does make you wonder how they can be that bad, time and time again
