Of course it doesn’t assure a better result in the next game.

It might improve the probability of a better result though, if only by improving the probability of the players you want to see playing being able to do so.

We don’t know what is happening in training. The coaching staff will be able to see which players are in desperate need of a rest.

You just know it’s going to ET no matter how the two sides line up

Didn’t see yesterday’s result coming at all, so great credit to Arteta and Arsenal. It does make me want us to win more today though than if City had made it, as I’d make us slight favourites for the final should we get there now.

I know Fernandes turned it on a couple of times the other night but he does look a bit tired. Worried about a potential 90-120 minutes for him with two crucial league games to come. I’d be tempted to have him on the bench and start Matic, McTominay and Pogba. Wouldn’t mind seeing Ighalo get some action today as well.

The more I think of it the more I think we should go strong and perhaps rest players on Tuesday depending on Leicester's result today. Just a few changes for both games will be enough maybe?

True, the Leicester game is massive.

Make a few changes but go strong

Fack it. Let's go for it in this game and West Ham and Leicester can sort itself out!

While this cup does represent a distraction from our important goal of qualifying for the CL, there is another cup that carries with it the very goal we seek!

Not overly confident about today, but if we had to end the season 5th and with one cup, I wouldn't choose the FA Cup to be that cup.
