And we're back for the 2022 season, with the "summer's" cricket again starting in a week where we've had snow across the country. Lovely stuff.
This is the place to discuss your own county's performance, any up-and-coming prospects, who England should be taking a look at, and why James Hildreth is still the solution even after he turns 80.
Fire away chaps.

Morning all. Cricket's back!
And Surrey off to a solid start as Rory Burns falls for 4, albeit he was just pipped to being the first wicket to fall in the 2021 summer

Burns and Stoneman both fall cheaply. Amla and Pope now in, and Ollie Pope is doing his usual trick for Surrey: scoring more runs at a higher run rate than any other bat in the side, basically making it look like he's playing on a different pitch to everyone else.
I just hope he can get a consistent run with no injuries and bring his insane ability to Test cricket at some point.

Surrey at home let Leicestershire - LEICESTERSHIRE - post nearly 400.
I hope it's an absolute road at the Oval, otherwise it's going to be a seriously long summer

Finally on top of a game, and well played young Ollie Pope. The lad's County average is absolutely absurd. Over 50 and climbing up to 53-plus after this double ton. Jamie Smith looking good too as we batter a ragged Leicestershire attack.
Too late to win at this stage though, you'd think.

Burns and Stoneman with a very nice opening stand

Yep, seems like it's a road up there. Probably the only way Leics can halfway guarantee some points on the board. Hopefully Burns can get his ton though, he's worked his way into form this summer but hasn't scored a century yet
