At the age of 39, Dhoni announces his retirement from international cricket. Correct decision I think, he was prolonging his career for no real reason with nothing left to prove.
Fantastic captain (however definitely reaped the benefits of Ganguly's foundations) and ODI player, scoring over 10,000 ODI runs.

Giant cricketer who played the game with great success. End of an era. Top bloke too.

Was probably waiting to see how the pandemic played out for one last hurrah with the T20 WC. Glad he's decided to retire though because he was past it and it would've kept Pant out of the team.

He was easily the best odi batsmen for few years, from 2010 to 2013 and outstanding captain too. Fantastic career. Saying that he reaped benefit from foundation set by Ganguly is taking credit away from him

He is best Indian ever player other than tendulkar. I was hoping he continue for until next 2 World Cup in India and Aussies. I hope he can one day become coach and led India to another World Cup in India
