Watching Chelsea sign every player under the sun, it leaves Arsenal’s situation a lot to be desired. However we have strengthened on the defensive front which was the priority. Midfield, I doubt will improve which is a massive shame. Gendouzi seems like he’s not moving either. AMN is the only one club have publicly said can go. Willian will be good for the experience he’ll bring, but not the guy who will take us to the CL.
But how good are Gabriel and Saliba? Would they take us to the next level, which admittedly isn’t really high at the moment?
How good are our targets?

"David Luiz, who signed from Chelsea last summer, has agreed a new one-year deal. Pablo will complete his formal move from Flamengo on a long-term deal when the transfer window opens next month. Cedric will also join us permanently on a long-term deal from Southampton."
This was what was announced when they extended their loans to the end of the extended season (June 24th Arsenal.com)

You didn't answer my question. The question is do you believe that Cedric was forced by an unknown party on Arteta and he really didn't want to sign him.

Arteta doesn't choose who we sign.
You have changed tune over Raul so quickly-

You still didn't answer my question. Its pretty clear.
Do you believe Cedric was forced on Arteta?

"Forced"
Do I think Arteta went scouting him, recommended him, negotiated with him and Southampton, then signed him? No.

Didn't ask that. Arteta has the power to decline on any player thats put to him by Edu.
So let me ask again. Was Cedric bought AGAINST Arteta's wishes and he didn't want him.
So easy.

I doubt Arteta opposed the signing, no one said he did. Also doubt he was banging on Rauls door begging for Cedric to be signed. But it certainly wasn't a transfer done post Raul as you are now arguing.

No I am arguing against conspiracy theories spread by pretend ITKs.
I have been saying that Arteta chooses who he wants in the squad and players are not forced on him. He has the final say on who we sign as is his right as manager of Arsenal football club.

Should say as well though that you were indeed talking about whose choice it was and not whose targets but I do believe Arteta was to some extent - not rocking the boat.
