Takes an awful lot to get a statue at Leeds when you consider only Don and Billy have one. On that basis alone he’s miles away from one.

Totally agree kebab, that was what my original post was getting at, maybe I didn’t make it clear enough... but that what I meant by saying “a very good couple of seasons in the premier” meaning to totally surprise us all by getting like too 4, pushing in etc.

That said, the whole ethos of the club had changed do mikey has a point, he is a legend, just saying god forbid we get relegated all of sudden people forget things!

Yes Germany- was just thinking Wilko.. to be fair people remember him for he did.. despite a really poor season not winning a single away game the year after we win the title!

Bielsa COULD be statue stuff though.. like I said, another 2 years of surprising us all.. like the way he did when he took a mud table championship side to where we are now!! Imagine if the same upward curve continues?? Jeez... statue !!

You've got to look at what Bielsa has achieved and what he achieved it with to see the legend status.

He took a mid-table Championship squad and with very few additions got us into the playoffs and then promoted by 10 clear points. He did all of this whilst turning the club and all its elements from 'chewed-up and spat out' to 'moral, coherent & organised".

I'd pay for the statue myself if I weren't so broke!

Bielsa has one promotion, Chris Houghton has 3. Miles away from a statue. He needs an FA cup win or Top 4 finish to be a legend. Howard Wilkinson won the league ffs and didn't get a statue.

There are so many legends that if we had a statue for every one we'd need a new stadium just to house them!..

Won't be cheap extending Elland Road and building a new stadium, bloody hell, extending Elland Road on its own'll cost enough!..

Then the argument will be who's legend wins a statue!..

Agree legend status is put about far too much in football..
