Can someone explain me what kind of footy he expect his players to play? I kind of failed to notice since he become our manager. Yes, I know many of you would point it out oooo, give the guy a chance, he didnt have a chance to set up his own team etc..., my point is# Every manager has its own characteristic how he expect his team to play. You know, Klopp, Guardiola, Pochettino, Jose or Carlo. Jose like his team play from the back, strong defence is something he focus on, Guardiola team passing ball, retain position etc, Klopp urge his players to press high...all those guys has one one thing in common. The style of football they wanted on first place we could see it after 4-5 months from the moment of theirs appointment as managers. We could see at least some improvements and step by step they either get rid of the players they didnt need it and slowly integrate with the one who they believe could adapt their own system of playing. Franks is managing our club over 12 months and I have to say I just dont see any improvement since he got the job. What kind of football style he want us to play anyway? Does someone has any idea? What would be his characteristic way of playing??? We know Jose or Klopp but I struggle to see it in under Lampard management so far frankly speaking. Your thought???

Mourinho’s style of play is to bore the opposition to death and score a fluke goal. His teams don’t play from the back nor are they good in defence. He’s a has been.

To be fair to Lamps, he hasn't had the team to mould into what he sees as a winning combo until now...and even then they've got to bed in & gel together
We are in serious need of a genuine midfield playmaker currently, & keep swapping about with what we have to find a key to that particular door - maybe Billy Gilmour can step up
The GK issue seems to be sorted, & if Alonso never ever plays again the LB slot has improved immeasurably.
If our new boys get it together we will fly, especially if Pulisic gets fit & (a bit stronger)

Get good players, shout at them until one of them does something good.

Lampard plays high-pressing, possession-based football. It hasn't been great so far this season but, tbf, it is a system that relies on fitness and cohesion - both things that should come eventually. I think some people are a bit quick to forget how good some of the football was last season, particularly against the likes of Man City and Spurs.
If I have a criticism of Frank, it's that he doesn't play a consistent-enough team or formation for that cohesion to easily develop. Hopefully that's something he'll rectify when he can finally play the players he wants.

I think (keyword think) his ideal style of football is what he was playing at Derby & early in his tenure with us, pre-Spurs away win. Intense high pressing, preferred formation 4231 to make that easier to initiate, with an emphasis on driving through zones rather than passing through them (more Kova/Kante, less Jorginho).
What we might be in the middle of here is a similar transition AVB went through in the PL, he came to England as a coach with one tactical identity & left with a completely different one after the nature of the league destroyed some of it's idealisms - in Lampard's case the issue of the defense & midfield lines being too open is extremely evident when playing his 4231. So what his refined style ultimately becomes we might be discovering now, we're the petri dish.
That's my musings as of now & likely to change in a few weeks ... Lampard's very unpredictable.
