Arsene Wenger

In hindsight it’s disgraceful how badly he was treated by some Arsenal fans.

I don’t know, but Round was Moyes’ assistant and Stuivenberg was LVG’s.

Now all we do is crosses and sideways passing. Can't be a coincidence.

The undynamic duo, then

While some Arsenal fans were really obnoxious the club did stagnate under Wenger, it seemed like the main goal was to just to finish 3rd/4th and qualify from the CL group stages, no more than that.

Arsenal also didn’t win the league between 2004 and when Wenger left in 2018, didn’t win a trophy of any description between 2006 and 2013, and he didn’t seem to know how to spot a player, one of his great strengths when he arrived.

Struggled to build a solid defence, despite doing it in 2004, struggled to find competent, combative DM’s despite having done it before, built mentality soft, physically weak teams, despite having tough players and teams in the past.

He put too much stock in FFP levelling the playing field. Did well to keep Arsenal relatively competitive during the stadium move and the fans were onboard with tightening the purse strings at the time, but, IMO, the club changed location but didn’t go anywhere.

Yep can’t be. Thought you’ve looked a lot like a Moyes team and us under LVG. Not until now did I realise why.

Let's be honest here.

I was one of those who defended Wenger right to the end. I'll admit that most of it was for sentimental reasons.

The decline was getting worse with every passing season and a choice clearly had to be made.

We had spent more than a decade regularly finishing about 10 points off the League title pace.

Then it became 20 points. Even going as much as 40 points off the pace in his last season.

And then you have his exorbitantly expensive but progressively deteriorating squad. A number of whom we still struggle to ship out to this day.

Completely clueless article

If anything hindsight shows he should have been sacked at least 5 years earlier than he was. The damage he has left behind is seemingly irreparable. The shiiiitshow he’s left behind is his legacy now
