The fall of the Prem, or rise of HG talent

Brexit impact on the prem

- foreign players under 18 cannot be signed at all (example no more pogba or cesc signed when 16)

- clubs can only sign a maximum of 3 players aged 18-21 per season (so no unlimited signings of Leroy sanes at 20 yo at a club like city)

- players from lower fifa ranked countries will be less likely to pass signing criteria (example Andreas Christensen)

- players over 18 from the eu will need a permit to join (year 2012 and youโ€™re trying to convince the home office eden hazard will be worth 150m and world class in 7 years time)

- u18s can no longer move to European clubs (likes of sancho musah Bellingham madueke bynoe-gittens iling will be stuck here)

Overall this should improve our England team in the long run as more English players will get chances etc
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That will always be relative to the overall quality of the league. The money ought to mean the quality will remain high even without those foreign youngsters, but if the quality drops sharply, having more English youngsters involved won’t necessarily benefit the England team.

The PL is a global brand. If the last English part of the league (the location/name) becomes a limiting factor then they will just move to the Middle East. All games played in a specialist studio rather than a stadium as actual match going fans are not really required. Each game will be simulated via an algorithm which is carefully calibrated to produce the most exciting games and results. I can't wait.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You can't actually think any of that is possible?

I don't know you so guessing it was a joke?

"Rise of HG Talent" OP.

I am no fan of Brexit whatsoever but these rules are a good thing. One of the bi-products here will likely be a lot more investment by PL clubs now in grass roots football to find and create stars. I've often thought the PL should be on the hook for half the cost of a full blown National Schools League proper. Not this tinpot, hit and miss dependent where you are crap we have now. Maybe now they'll become more proactive in manufacturing a stronger conveyor belt of domestic talent because they can only take 3 items off the overseas belt they were takin the ps with.

I think it has its positives. Yes maybe we will not have as much access to foreign talent but it could help with growing some English talent. The big clubs in Spain and Germany seem to give more chances and play more Spanish and German players

English clubs seem scared to play English players unless it's obvious that English player is a special talent. I'm also sure there are English players in the big clubs to fill the HG quota. Kyle Walker for example I don't think would play for City if they didn't have to have HG players.

So maybe we will unlock some more talent we would have otherwise missed. Perhaps we will have an England team who play better together if they play more regularly at the highest level.

Also still think there should be a 5% tax on ticket and merchandise sales that goes to grassroots football.

It’s a good thing in my view, as has been said more efforts will be given in developing our own talent, and ultimately if it were to seriously affect the PL (which I don’t think it will) the government can change the rule - that’s the power and beauty of sovereignty. ๐Ÿ‘
