First off it may well have not made a difference today but what does Martinelli have to do to get a decent run or just some minutes off the bench. He is the future of the of the club and yet Arteta doesn't seem to want to use him. He should be higher in the pecking order than Aubameyang and the fact he's not in front off Willian is just bizarre. If I was him I'd be asking his agent to start looking for escape routes the guy has genuine talent which looks like it's gonna go to waste if Arteta remains the manager.

He is very overrated by Arsenal fans. Good player but will not change our fortunes.

No one overates Martinelli. He is a very good youngster with potential. He has an eye for goal, is good in the air and has energy and passion that none of our other players have bar Saka. He would make a difference over Auba (who looks shocking this season pulling out of tackles and not up for any fight) and certainly would make a bigger impact than Willian

This is so true. Fans make out like Arteta isn't picking Messi in the team.

I'll put this down to Arteta trying to protect him with his poor injury record.
Martinelli and Tierney can both be massive players for us. Yet, their inability to string together a decent run of games is very worrying.

You’re giving Arteta far too much credit here. ESR is just as injury prone, if not more and he can’t catch a break. He has been overplayed since Arteta realised that a bit of creativity in the middle of the park can have some positive impact.
Not even gonna mention Saka.
