So this is why

Liverpool fans wanted Everton to move their Stadium site to Kirkby.
Their players are apparently very unhappy with their new 50million Pound training complex because Kirkby is too windy. They would prefer a return to their old training ground at Melwood.

Everton wanted to move to Kirkby and have a megastore shared with Tesco

Deal fell through because Tesco wanted an extra storeroom, whilst Everton insisted to keep it as a trophy room.

Tesco thought it was a nonsensical argument and pulled out.
