Gabriel was best player on pitch till his mistake for 2nd goal. If you set up a team like Arteta sets it's up where you invite them to attack you and you back off whole game, you can expect a mistake is gonna come. Why didn't Liverpool players make mistake? Because we didn't put any pressure on them.

First half he was okay. Second half he lost his focus and concentration and made bad mistake.

He was at fault for the last goal too, giving the ball away.

Two goals were his fault. Weak, careless and pathetic defending. Although Holding was also showing his flaws.

I agree the system didn't help. If the pressue is relentless then it's inevitable.

Gabriel has something though. Whether we're coaching the aggression/pace/strength out of him I don't know, but his first couple of months showed a player made for the Prem.

Think he suffered with not having an option in midfield to pass to. Your midfield hid yesterday which negated the playing from the back.

Arteta seems too willing to chop and change CBs, never letting partnerships build. Obviously injuries play a part, but we should be looking at having a fixed back 4 that builds understanding with each other and Leno. Hopefully Gabriel and Saliba can be that pair next season.

Bit harsh saying he was at fault for the 2nd goal. He was left one on one for the thousandth time in the game and actually made a decent challenge he was unlucky not to get the ball with.

The third was stupidity though, yeah. Don't blame him too much after the onslaught he faced that half.

Gabriel was at fault for the second and third goal (although Leno didn’t help at all for the second goal), he seemed to lose his head in this game and I agree he has gone backwards since he joined. 😐

The setup was wrong. You cant keep inviting pressure for 90 minutes and expect there not to be lapses.

You also can't have a midfield that poor and expect the defence to look decent. Ceballos was horrific...again. Partey still looks not 100% and if he sorts out his passing range, he will be so so good.

The lack of a steady partnership also frustrates me Holding looked good for a while and even though he is not my fave, he got inexplicably dropped. Same with Mari. Cb is the one position where energy is not an issue...so the amount of change is baffling.
