No Champions League now, it seems...

... based on our track record.

Ole must be licking his lips in anticipation of next week.

I’ll ask again.

If an industry is shady (your words), does that mean everyone who works in that industry is shady?

You worked in it. Are you shady?

I think you’re genuinely not quite able to pick up on the reason why I asked my initial question to begin with.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course everyone isn’t ‘shady’, it’s a generalisation based on the overall reputation it’s made for itself over the years.

You’re right on one thing, I literally have no idea what tree you’re barking up. You asked a question and I answered it. Maybe it would be best if you told me what you’d like me to say?

Mamba jumping in with two feet and missing the mark.. yet again.

I’m asking questions. I’m asking why something so valuable as oil, which plays an important part in society’s ability to function day to day, is being used as slur when it comes to football

----------------------------------------------------------------------
You should know by now that literally anything can be turned into a slur when it comes to football, especially on here....
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Absolutely. It’s why I’m probing just a bit.

The slurs banded about ten a penny often don’t have much validity to them...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course they don’t, you’re stating something extremely obvious. People just pick up on what they see other people posting and just accept it as being true.

But there’s plenty of basis for the oil industry having the reputation it does. For example, Nigeria should be one of the wealthiest nations on earth, their natural resources are huge. But the oil companies have come in and taken it over, paying off the government and pretty much stripping them bare of these resources, with very little given back to the general population and infrastructure.

Well then by exactly the same token, they reason why I asked the question in the first place should be blindingly obvious

I’m not particularly bothered why you asked the question, I just answered it.

And I responded to your answer.

Is this going to turn into a tit-for-tat?

You’re the one doing that For some reason you seem intent on me needing to work out why you asked the original question, but I’ve stated I don’t care what your reasons are, I just answered it.

This is painful.

Apologies Term

I’m not wanting to do that. I’m just wanting to probe a little as to why oil money in football has been used as a slur. When oil itself is so valuable to society across the world.

Thanks for answering, and apologies for being dismissive of your answer.

Probably the least nervy I’ll be playing Liverpool for some time. Of course we want to win but the result won’t matter hugely for us in the grand scheme of things.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It does matter.

United beat Liverpool, and it ends their chances of getting top 4.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can’t see Chelsea blowing it now. They are too solid. A Leicester win on Monday almost seals it for them too.

No worries Just as an afterthought though, I’d say that for the majority it’s simply a stick to beat that particular team with. It’s not because of the oil, it just happens to be oil, if that makes sense. I suspect my answer was overthinking it when it comes to those who use it most, I doubt they know the first thing about topics such as these 👍

is the new look CL not starting next season?

won't you get in on a special coefficient rule designed to shaft actual champions from other countries?
