Despite missing a great advantageous opportunity to win a second-rate trophy, we don't even have a respectable pattern of play to remark on after all this so called progress.
People are obsessed with symbols. Ole is the symbol of an era when this team had an identity but identity is the furthest thing away from what we actually have on the pitch. This isn't about losing the final it's about how we represent this football club on the pitch day in-day out.

Our football is crap.
It's better than Mourinho and somehow we score lots of goals. But we are not fun to watch.
We've finished 2nd comfortably and it's still one of the most frustrating seasons.

Not saying we can't improve on Ole but unless we get competent owners and a top CEO / DOF then I don't think it matters who is in charge tbh. The club is a mess until we get the parasites out. New owners would probably sack Ole anyway

I agree in principle that top four could well be harder next year. Just pointing out that there’s no real reason one of the other big teams could have a bad season while we improve.
