No matter if you are OleIn or OleOut we all love the club (Culer aside). A big portion of our lives revolve around the club. No wonder all of us spend so much time on this site. We spend money on the club. When we win it makes our day, when we lose it spoils our day sometimes weeks.
However football isn't like religion. We are allowed to criticize the players, we are allowed to criticize the manager. We are allowed to voice our opinions even if it challenges the basic notions of what it means to support by the majority. That's where the champions of mediocrity are wrong. You cannot put down fans who differ in opinion. You have no right.
However the blatant mediocrity that is happening in the club cannot be ignored. You cannot ignore the fact that we have a manager who has reached his ceiling. We have a manager who inspite all the support from inside and outside has failed to deliver. It all exacerbates when we see our rivals sweeping aside achievements left, right and center. Our biggest rivals City, Liverpool and CFC all have world class level managers and proven winners.
What does a world class club like us do? Place more faith in an already failing system and failed individuals to lead us to glory? Have they demonstrated any ability? Klopp was able to get Liverpool to 90+ points in his 3rd season. Liverpool fans could sense improvement right from the start? Where is our improvement? Just because we have a few players who are individually racking up stats doesn't mean we have improved. There is absolutely no proof of improvement that we can see with our eyes considering the money spent and time devoted.
United should be challenging for the biggest prizes out there. That is our legacy. Instead our champions of mediocrity get happy if there is a miniscule improvement in points tally or a few players from youth are promoted. The champions of mediocrity are holding the club back. Unless all the fans unite for a single cause we as a club won't go anywhere. There was a large chunk of our fanbase who was willing to give Moyes the full 6 years.
Stop demonizing fans who are not happy with the current proceedings. Stop demonizing fans who demand change.
Why the Champions of Mediocrity are wrong

I have never seen a worse patronizing comment than this. So according to you City and Chelsea have no substance. Do you even see where you are coming from?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe if you had bothered to read it you could have actually responded to what I said. I said "more" substance. More, not none, more. Do you get the difference? I can explain it if you need.
Given that you didn't even bother to try and engage any other aspect of what was said and the tiny part you did, you completely misunderstood, I have to assume you're either stupid or just trolling. Why didn't you actually respond to anything that was said? You didn't counter anything, just tried to nit pick and couldn't even get that right. You've basically just proved my point, so thank you for that.

Haha. Was just thinking how much he'd proven your point.

To some people, the club, it's values, it's culture and traditions mean something. That includes bringing through young talent that the club has nurtured. I don't want to hop from manager to manager in an attempt to grind out another trophy of some sort. Chopping and changing identity, churning through players, constantly demanding more isn't appealing to me.
I don't want a Conte to swan in, maybe win a trophy but leave after a couple of years and leave a mess behind. I want a manager who values the youth team and invests and believes in it. Apparently Jose had cut funding for the youth teams and wanted all signings funneled into the first team. If you look throughout the academy, we've some fantastic talent coming through and Ole is integrating them with the first team.
I'd personally rather wait and have Mason and Rashford fire us to a trophy than Conte and some lad we've just paid 90 million for. There's a reason fans take to players like Cavani, they come in and seem to appreciate the history and traditions of the club more than half our fans do. Listen to Evra talk about it and you know we're a club with so much more substance than a Chelsea or City.
I'm not going to demonise anyone, provided they say what they say with consideration and in a respectful way, you're more than entitled to your opinion but the same goes the other way. If it winds you up that I'm satisfied with the project we have, then that's on you. I have no idea why you would care but I will say that a common theme of the 'Ole outers' seems to be a certain personality. Majority seem like they couldn't pick Manchester out on a map, nevermind actually going there or going to games. They seem like the sort that also would have been the people calling fergie a dinosaur around 03/04 and saying he was holding the club back. These people just tend to seem toxic and stupid, rarely can I have an actual conversation with them, it usually descends into insults and pettiness because that's their limit in terms of engaging dialogue and actually having a discussion.
I never get the impression these people actually like the club, they jumped on a bandwagon of success and that's all they really care about. They will use terms like 'Trashford' and are the section of the fan base that will abuse their own players on places like Twitter, because they care first and foremost about bragging rights, far more than the actual players. They care more about being able to jump on a forum and wind some rival fans up than they do about getting down to see the under 23s. It's a different relationship with the club and I personally don't think I'd be bothered one bit if they upped and went to support City. I don't see what value they add to the fan base, personally. They just make every bad result such a stress, make it a chore to discuss the club because its so negative. Every couple of years will be back on the 'sack the manager' demands and it's just boring, to be honest.
It's the same negative cycle over and over again. I see the lads on paddock talking about the club and whether you agree or disagree with then, you know they love the club and they will typically entertain opposing views with respect. It's just a different personality type and I personally much prefer engaging people like that.

Utd finished second in Premier League, two places above the champions League winners, and made it to a European final they so nearly won. That's a great achievement, especially when you look at the momentum of the squad. They are on the way up.
I'm sure ole has his failings, but lvg, Moyes, Jose etc all experienced managers didn't have the club looking anywhere near as healthy.

OP
Ole will not be sacked.
Accept this and then work with that information, rather than shouting for a thing that absolutely will not and should not happen.

Not the manager that has created the mediocrity. Set in even before SAF left.
