Was surprised to see the same referee last night who was in charge of the England - Germany game

he missed a blatant card by Kalvin Phillips that night and last night he gave a penalty for nothing

he also added on 7 mins and change at the end of the game when it was supposed to be 6

I said the winner of the England vs Germany game would go on to win the tournament and I stand by that. Italy have been fantastic and would be well worthy winners, but Spinazzola is going to be a massive loss for them. Home advantage will really help England too.

It's absolutely ridiculous that in a tournament that's supposed to be played across the continent, England have played almost all their games at their home stadium. I thought the format could be good to give smaller nations a chance to come together to host a tournament they'd never be able to host alone, but the execution has been awful and clearly favours one country above all others. That said, the normal format always favours one host country too so the advantage England have got this time is just the same "unfair" advantage the host country gets at every tournament. If anything, this experiment proves that Scotland should be made permanent hosts for the Euros as the only nation utterly incapable of taking any advantage from playing at home.
