Can't believe Hamilton has said after that incident....that Verstappen doesn't need to be as aggressive as he is

...and then in the same interview, says that he himself won't ever back down from anyone, and won't be bullied into being less aggressive

Whole reason the crash happened is because Hamilton went for a gap, didn't back out, couldn't keep closer to the apex of the corner because of the speed he was going and the angle he came into the corner at, which is why there was contact

Think there is only one person that was too aggressive here, and it wasn't Verstappen...it was critical to Hamilton's race that he got in front of Verstappen early on, and he was trying for every gap he had, no matter how small

The fact that Leclerc ran wide at the same corner, you could argue he was worried he'd suffer the same fate as Max if he didn't go off the track.

Max has plenty of similar incidents in every race, live by the sword, die by the sword, the same way for every great racing driver

I just don't like Hamilton's somewhat "entitled" response

He's been lording it over everyone for years....now he's finally got a proper challenge on his hands, and this is his reaction to it...saying the guy that was leading the race was too aggressive because he didn't yield to him after he darted down the inside of a very fast corner, and was never in front either going into ot coming out of said corner

I’ve seen enough F! In my lifetime to know this is 100% LH’s fault. No doubt. But it’s not exactly Prost and Senna. Shuey and Damon Hill.
It’s a Racing incident taken to the limit.
Gotta keep a close eye on them two, cos the thin ice is broken now, it’s gonna be tasty.

Racing incident. Max was hoping Lewis would play nicely which he has done all season so far.

It’s a lesson for Max to learn. Continue to bully your way around the track sooner or later someone will stand up to you

Max tried to squeeze Lewis and sadly (i was looking forward to this battle) it backfired on him.

They were both equally at fault. Unlucky for Verdtsppen but again shows a lack of maturity in taking unnecessary risks. He could have let Hamilton pass and still have plenty of time to get the position back. He needs to learn to control his aggression.

Exactly. Been so many times this season already when Hamilton has yielded. Today he didn't and neither did Verstapen. Racing incident all day long.
