Leicester City ‘agree fee’ for Vestergaard

Like Bertrand, he’s a proven solid premier league defender that could fit nicely in to our team. He’s also still not old as a centreback so we’ll get a few years out of him. It looks a very good signing on paper.

He’s also a man giant. Hopefully will help our set pieces as other have mentioned.

Leicester have made some great signings this summer, but I think they have got it wrong here. Vestergaard has been a key component of a defence that has conceded 193 prem goals in the last 3 seasons. Southampton have survived because of Ings mostly.

Maguire was key defence in Hull relegated team when they bought him. It worked out alright

Vestergaard & Bertrand line up in the same defence again

Rodgers going shopping in Southampton again.

They must be the team he has bought the most players from.

Amusing in a way - Leicester stick 9 past an opponent then go and buy half their back line.

Mind you, they sort of put the shutters up a few months later and came here and deservedly won 😉

If I remember rightly, Bertrand was sent off early in the game so couldn't influence the score and maybe Vestergaard kept it down to nine!
