Why did Arsenal leave Highbury ?

If I recall it was to compete with the biggest clubs in the world

To compete financially with the big boys.

E.g.

Spunking
£70m+ on a rubbish winger
£50m on a rubbish CB
£300k+ a week contracts to past it players

Told back then but ya didn't believe me, shame on you

tf mid way through his 2nd season i was already saying we should sell him.

Anyway according to wiki we've spent around 700-800m since 2013 and Alexis, Auba and Tierney are the only positive signings we've made, absolutely criminal what's happened at this club.
