I am beginning to wonder if Arteta's failings is more a character flaw than a football one.
Initially when he was appointed micro-managing players maybe was the correct way to go. Someone who spoke the lingo and was able to offer players advise
However the way certain players with outspoken personalities have been boomed out of this football club and his in-game micro-management shows a man that believes is his way or you're out. He heaps more pressure on players. Sit down and let them play their game.
He's destroying the natural ability of our players in pursuit of a football philosophy created and ONLY works in his brain.
Some fans hoping the signing of new players or the return of Partey will solve our problems are delusional. It doesn't matter who we sign because under this manager the football will ALWAYS be boring and bland just like his personality.
Arteta - Character Flaw?

In a way its right that the manager commands total respect but that respect has to be earned. The most this bloke has done is put the cones out for training sessions and carried Guardiola's clipboard. He's got nothing to back up the ability he seems to think he has. If the solution is to go with youth he is just the worst option possible look how he dealt with Guendouzi, what he's doing with Saliba. I think it's gone a bit under the radar as well with what he's done with Martinelli. I remember watching him for the first time live in a Europa game, he scored a great header and curled one into the far corner you could just see he had star quality to go with his amazing work rate. Injuries stopped him a bit bit since he's come back he just doesn't look like the same player he just looks like he's being stopped from playing his natural game.
The owners take a lot of the flak but the longer it goes on it just feels like this guy is a good talker but there is nothing to back that up.

Isn't this what fans wanted though? Apparently the Wenger way of allowing players to express themselves on the pitch was outdated...

There has got to be a balance if he's out there telling them exactly where they have to be for every minute of the game then that's going over the top. In order to play football successfully there needs to be some space for players to express themselves within a structure.
What I find quite ironic is that he's obsessed with playing out from the back but he hasn't taught them how to do it effectively and that's something that needs to be learnt on the training pitch which is where he should be earning his money.
