I liked Ake as a player beforehand and this has just consolidated his place in my good books (plot twist: I am Santa).
Maybe it’s because it’s late; perhaps it’s because I’m about to become a father for the first time myself very soon (she was due yday!!!).
Beautiful send off for your old man and I would love to believe he went out with a wry smile on his face of seeing/hearing the news of his boy 💚

Surely, given the circumstances, Pep shouldn’t have picked him? Very out of order from Guardiola, why not let Ake be with his family in such a difficult time?

It has been brought to my attention tonight by other users of the forum that my comment on the thread is entirely offensive and unacceptable.
Having read it back, I must apologise for the comment. I need to think a lot more before I type, as what I meant to put across was that I am surprised Pep picked him as he would've known Ake senior was unwell.
That does not excuse the comment I made and nor should it. I would ask that the creator of the article deletes my comment, however they may choose not to so people can see what a pr*ck I am.
There is a line that my comment crosses and that is disgraceful.
I will also apologise to the forum.
