I know Fred gets a lot of scorn and rightly so but is there a question mark over McT or is it a case of we’ll not really know how good McT is until he has a quality CM beside him?
I like the guy but I don’t particularly think he’s specifically good at anything. Truth be told, with gun to head I couldn’t even ascertain what type of midfielder he is. Hopefully with a Rice or a Bellingham next to him he might blossom. Anyone else just see him as a body in midfield or is he the next …. Or the next…… ? (Insert as appropriate).
Is McT good enough?

He won't be starting for Scotland this weekend, we have looked better without him if truth be told.

And was stinking

I never watched it, obviously, but he can't have been the only one?

No, they were all pretty stinking but certainly in the first half I thought he was especially bad. He was very slow and lethargic and kept giving the ball away. I didn't feel he was particularly brave in possession either and made too many sideways passes.

Yeah we've trained him to do that
