Narrative

Well despite how well we played and the score line, that was horrible viewing today. The Newcastle love in was absolutely nauseating. I’m not prepared to suspend belief and start believing that Newcastle are a historically big club, big support - yes, because it’s a one team town, but they are not a big club.

Why does Sky have to spin this, why can’t we just say that they are the latest side to win the lottery and will likely spend their way to success - is it really that hard to be this open and honest about things, I would have a lot more respect if that was said.

Does anyone truly care? If I'm tuning in to watch a game, I'll watch the game. Couldn't really care less about the love in for the opposition, I just sort of expect it.

I'd be (mildly) annoyed if after a win the interview with Spurs players focused solely on Newcastles' takeover, but pre match, what else were you exoecting?

Christ how difficult is this to grasp, I don’t care about the amount of coverage this is getting, it’s the bolloox made up narrative I dislike.

If they just said Newcastle have won the lottery and will be buying trophies with money the club never earned like City and Chelsea before them, then you wouldn’t here a peep from me - however there is an aversion to telling the truth

Its an entertainment show mate, I wouldn't get wound up by it if I were you. Its why they employ often clueless experts to give opinions or analysis. You're not meant to agree with everything they say, it's why they get talked about 👍

I somewhat agree with this, if anything the atmosphere helped us today as Newcastle couldn’t play anything but gung ho, up and at them football and left huge gaps. Their players were blowing out their Maf 10 minutes in to the game.

We controlled the ball well, but we’re unlikely to find many defences as obliging as Newcastle’s today

Well, they are. Was a time when they were the club of the North if you wanna go WAY back.

There's actually a direct link to Newcastle helping form the identity Nicholson gave Spurs today, his mentor (Peter McWilliam) is Newcastle's first legendary player

Not actually true, and we have won 14 major honours since Newcastle last won 1. Anything else?
