With Skipp one yellow away from suspension I hope Nuno has a plan....I think we would need to move to a 5 2 3 if this happens..because we have no proper tackling back up to either I would like to see either CM replaced by a CB and Romero moved to the Libero role he enjoys.
For example at present we dedensively set up
.....Skipp Hojbjerg
Reg Dier Romero Royal
In effect a 6 man screen
With Skipp suspended..defensively we should look like
..............Hojbjerg
...............Romero
Reguilon Dier Rodon Royal
It still maintains a 6 man screen without leaving gaps in our defence or seeing Winks or Dele playing and without forcing Ndombele to play a defensive pivot which limits his talent. It would also allow Romero to step into midfield to support Hojbjerg when in possession.

Surely Winks or GLC are less of a risk than playing our CB there and having to replace that player in defence?
With your suggestion of Romero, you're having to replace 2 players (positions) rather than one.

Bit harsh on Winks.
It wasn't so long ago he was a good player for us, plus he's a Spurs lad so should be given a bit more leeway than others IMO.
It's tough to come in and out of the side and be expected to make a big impact. The odd European League performance in a totally different starting 11 from our normal side isn't an indication of Winks.

Winks and Lo Celso as CM pivots...they'll get destroyed in my view. If only Dele could be disciplined and learn to shield the ball and pass accurately.

I would try Dele and Winks as the pivots and push Lo Celso as the number 10. Dele played in the number 10 role in the last game and was awful.
If Ali G is correct, it looks like he has an eye on Sunday. Good lad.

Everyone is saying they would like Lo Celso to step in but the whole problem with him at Spurs is we continue to play him far deeper than he likes and with more defensive responsibilities. Either that or we chuck him out onto the wing. Don’t think he’s quite the straight swap for Skipp or Hojberg some think he is.
