Rudiger

With his contract running down and the talks seemingly that clubs are circling with big offers. Where does his future lie? Can we hold on to him or will he move for a big pay day? I think the first thing to mention is that on current form he's right up there with the best CBs in the world but weirdly we still have 2 CBs in Christensen and silva who are probably at that level if not above. He's a very very good player with his athletic abitility and intensity but is he benefiting from a back 3 like many other defenders have done. Personally I think we'll find a resolution to keep him, he's settled and more likely to win things with us than anyone else the way we're going, plus we have the money if we want to pay it him. If not I'm not overly worried, chabolah is looking more and more comfortable at this level or we could always revisit the kounde deal.

For someone who struggles playing in a back 5 is asking for alot of money.

Only time he has struggled has been under Lampard after major injury, but don’t let that get in the way of scousers and their sh’t opinions

I’m less reluctant than others about just offering him whatever he wants. He’s very important for us and almost at the point that who else could we even get who plays LCB as good as him?

I’ve always had a feeling, not based on anything at all just a hunch, that he’ll leave however and go to Bayern, who tend to pick up and entice the best German footballers. Even for clubs like Madrid and PSG, Rudiger is probably potentially attainable for them.

Leave it to Maria, she'll sort it out one way or the other. If he really wants to leave, for whatever reason,he must go,we can get by without a disgruntled player ,the team comes first.

Absolutely, I believe that any hint of dissatisfaction on his part is pure media hype though.
