We should hopefully be looking much stronger by then too assuming we get the good January transfer window we're expecting and have our injured players back and fully fit.

......and Im missing nothing my statement was Celtic / Ange have spent more or less the same in his first transfer window (June 2021 to now) as Gerard did in his first 4. June 2018 - Jan 2020.
Using the accounts or reported values shows similar results
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair, Eddy, Ajer, Christie and the other 13 departures are ripping it up for us this year

as oppose to the 17 players that left when gerrard took over and had a poorer starting squad than Ange did took over.
If gerrard was a cheque book manager as suggested then surely Ange is? Ange took over a better squad and had almost double the budget in transfer kitty.
Like I said Ange has spent similar in his first transfer window as to what Gerrard spent in his first 4.

...and lost £30m of talent - you know like Rangers without Goldson, Kent, Morelos and Aribo.

Dortmund are going to horse us, but maybe that's a good thing. No shame going out to a team of that stature and leaves us to focus on the league while Celtic are stuck in a Thursday / Sunday cycle late into season with Ange cracking the whip on players with no hamstrings left.

The problem is though morelos, tav and Jack aside rangers frankly didn't have talent in the squad. They had to build, if you are suggesting that the squad ange inherited was worse than the one Stevie G did then I think you have some very tinted specs on.
Absolutely not saying ange didn't have a job on his hands and it's a lot of talent to lose. Point is they had it to lose.

so? the squad that was left behind without Edouard, Christie and Ajer was still miles ahead of the squad that Gerrard inherited.
My comments are based on Gerrard being made out to be a cheque book manager. My points say otherwise, he spent the same in 4 transfer windows than Ange spent in 1....... cheque book manager though.

we are in a no lose situation. Go out and its expected, go through some how and its one of the greatest results in scottish football history.
