Formula one

After a day of dubious penalties and erratic reffing, I changed sports and watched the f1 finale. Iā€™m not an f1 fan so it was pretty much new to me. What an utter sheetshow! And we think we have it bad with var.

The whole safety car rule is farcical. Drivers should not have their lead wiped out. That has, imo, always been
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's part of the fun. F1 is a procession most seasons. A bit of rain and and a safety car adds to the enjoyment. That's the last thing you want to be taking away.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Unless you are the driver who has just seen his lead wiped off the board.

It is like a football match re setting the clock to 0-0 in the 89th minute just for entertainment. You would not be for it if your team was 3-0 up in the 89th minute.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That's motor racing. It's a safety feature and It's been like this for nearly 30 years. It's unfortunate for the drivers that lose out but they'll never kick off over it. It's universally excepted. Who you been listening to anyway, Harry Kane?

And leads of a lot more than 11 seconds have been lost.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If they had cleared that accident quicker or it happened a few laps earlier then tough luck on Hamilton. All fans acknowledge that sometimes in F1 it goes that way.

What is such a shambles is the RD made rules up on the fly. In every other race ever, they let the cars unlap themselves and then the SC goes in the next lap. Not this time on both counts, in the biggest race in F1 for a generation or more. It completely skewed the result of the race and the championship and leaves newcomers confused and F1 fans frustrated & annoyed.
