Top Flight Wins

Last weeks win brought up Liverpools 2000th win in top flight football, the first team to achieve this. Barring something extraordinary no one is going to get anywhere near our total for several generations at least. Slightly surprised to see United so far behind us, and a good indication of the true order of football greatness.

Number in brackets is average points per season in existence.

1. Liverpool 2000 (15.5)
2. Arsenal 1927 (14.27)
3. Everton 1872 (13.09)
4. Man Utd 1847 (12.91)
5. Villa 1675 (11.39)
6. City 1518 (10.76)
7. Spurs 1452 (10.44)
8. Chelsea 1437 (12.38)
9. Newcastle 1361 (10.55)
10. Sunderland 1260 (8.87)

You’ve just divided 2000 by 130

Yeah. That wasn’t what the article was about though, was it? It’s not particularly important to the article though, just an addition because you wanted to be higher up the table.

Why is it defensive? You’ve stated on several occasions that as soon as you see I’ve posted on an article you leave, yet you’re here without anyone forcing you to, and most of your posts are trying to either catch me out or you trying to get Chelsea higher up the table.

I love how they went to all this effort just to find out that Manchester United are the most successful English league champions of all time.

Amazing how a simple fact of a team reaching a milestone number of wins triggers so much jealousy.
